Ayam Goreng Tepung Jagung Lada Benggala
Ingredients:
- 1 lb chicken breast
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon ginger paste
- 1 tablespoon garlic paste
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 egg
- Oil, for frying
- 1/2 teaspoon Bengali chili powder
Instructions:
- Cut the chicken breast into small bite-sized pieces and set aside in a bowl.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, cornmeal, salt, and black pepper. Mix well, and then add ginger paste, garlic paste, soy sauce, sesame oil and egg. Whisk together till a smooth mixture is formed.
- Now, add the chicken to the flour mixture and toss to coat the chicken pieces evenly. Let the chicken marinate for at least 15 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat until hot.
- Fry the chicken in small batches, about 5 pieces at a time, until golden brown and cooked through. Place the cooked chicken pieces onto a paper towel lined plate to drain off the excess oil and keep them warm in a 200°F oven until ready to serve.
- Sprinkle the Bengali chili powder over the cooked chicken pieces for an extra kick of flavor.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley or coriander.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce, a side of rice or noodles, and enjoy!
